Arif produced this, and he called me and Andy in to arrange and play on one of the songs, a Billy Mernit tune called Special Delivery. We met Judy at Arif’s apartment in the Dakota, sitting at Arif’s piano and going over the song with her (how many people can say THAT?) Hugh McCracken played electric guitar on the session (I played acoustic), and I’ll always remember how relaxed he was. He had his feet up on the Ampeg Gemini amp he was using, and played his part so effortlessly I was green with envy (I was woefully insecure in those days.)
